Here is a very short video showing the items I received from Yuriko Kitano, the Japanese artist who sells her miniature pop-up books on Etsy. They are so amazing and cute!
I purchased two assembled books and two kits. One book, Doll's House in the Corner of the Town, is about 1/2" thick, 1-1/4" wide, and 2-1/4" tall when closed. It has a total of 8 rooms on two floors. There are cats, dishes in a china cabinet, a full staircase, a grand piano, a lit fireplace, a closed closet with doors that open to clothes inside, and more! The book is held opened and closed with powerful neodymium magnets.
The other book is smaller, called, Doll's House in a Little Book, Purple. It is held closed and opened by tying a ribbon into a bow. The house has one floor and four rooms. It is as delicate and appointed as the bigger book, but with half the number of rooms. It is 7/16" thick, 1-1/4" wide, and 1-5/8" tall when closed.
NOTE: the entire design is made from V-Folds, Parallel Scenery Flats and Parallel Platforms.
I purchased two kits for books. One is a little kit that makes a tiny bakery. The other is a large kit that makes a complex tree house. When complete, both will close up in their own bound books.
